The Maria Tiberi Foundation
The foundation was established in 2013 following the tragic car accident that took the life of 21-year-old Maria Tiberi. The foundation is dedicated to spreading awareness about the dangers of distracted driving and promoting defensive driving among young and new drivers.
Help Support Our Mission
The foundation runs 100% with the hard work of volunteers. There are no employees receiving paychecks. There are no Board Members receiving compensation of any kind. This means 100% of your contributions goes to support our mission of bringing the message of Distracted Driving Prevention to communities.

Fundraising for Driving Simulators
We truly appreciate the support of our donors in assisting us with educating the youth in proper management of their potential distractions while driving.
- Tolles Career and Technical Center
- Eastland-Fairfield Career and Technical Schools
- Fort Hayes Metropolitan Education Center
We support 11 School Districts, including 7 High Schools and nearly every one of the students will participate in the 16 module Distracted Driving Simulation course.
Nights and weekends the labs are open to individuals. During the weekdays, the labs are open for schools to arrange field trips for students to take the 4.5 hour course.

We have utilized the generous donations of our supporters to provide driving simulators to the following organizations.

Join us in raising $1.8 million to open five more simulator schools and make Ohio's roads safer.
- We've successfully opened the nation's first simulator school at Tolles Career and Technical Center, with 25 simulators serving 11 school districts.
- Additional labs have been established at Eastland-Fairfield Career and Technical Schools and Fort Hayes Metropolitan Education Center, expanding our reach across Central Ohio.
- Your support helps educate Ohio's youth on safe driving practices, reducing distractions and enhancing road safety for all.

Ohio Declares September Distracted Driving Month
As a member of the Ohio Traffic Safety Council, Dom Tiberi has successfully advocated for legislation that will save lives. In 2023, Gov. Mike DeWine signed Senate Bill 288, making distracted driving a primary offense in Ohio.
Creating a Culture of Safety
